day 16 of 2012
if today is an indicator of what my semester will be like, then i am ready. had lunch with some friends back from study abroad, then practice with the praise team for my fellowship from 12-5. basically 6 hours of musical goodness. although i am not amazing at the keyboard, playing with a band is a completely different feeling from playing on your own. ‘nuff said. afterwards, the freshmen swiped all us moochers into the dining hall #sohappy
came home to discuss the living situation with my roommate, and then did some more major cleaning & organizing. the pictures are the fruits of my labor!! most of my things are unpacked and made at home! my closet is still iffy because i have 3 boxes of clothes that I can’t bring myself to clean YET. but i’ve been REALLY good! i’ve only been here for 2 whole days. most of the artwork you see are done by yours truly. that’s what happens when a stressed semester is upon me!
was getting ready for bed and thinking about what i was thankful for today. when i unpacked my stuff, i realized how much i own. how much material possession i have. and i always go, harping about how i don’t have anything. all lies. today, i am thankful because i have abundance. not just enough, but i have MORE than enough, more than i need. i am super thankful because i am blessed to not just survive with basic necessities, but i have the luxury of enjoying life.
even when i don’t deserve it.
but that’s grace for ya .
