day 5 of 2012
today was a relaxing day at home which equates to catching up on my google reader, tumblr-ing, & lots of pintrest. but i managed to get some reading done. read this book, which was an interesting twist on angels. also, caught up on recent news and things related to human trafficking, especially since this month is all about HT awareness. i def had a moment of “wow there is just so much .. horror out there. what can i do?” but then i remembered to see beyond the brokenness and disgusting-ness that is trafficking and remember that God is above it all. along with that, read the tiger picture above is from the NatGeo feature I read in the Dec 2011 issue about tiger conservation. it’s pretty interesting & i’m still trying to grasp what my opinions are about animals and how they fit into everything. But i do know that there is a certain awe factor to not just animals, but nature itself and how that compares to the sights i see everything. the city vs. outdoors. is urbanization necessarily a bad thing? so many questions!
therefore today, i am thankful for my invigorating and endless thoughts. how one’s mind never ceases to stop wondering and thinking, and going at all the possibilities. i hope that in this new year i can act more, and not JUST dream.
